The great French actress, Jeanne Moreau, one of the internationally recognised faces and voices of European cinema and theatre, will be receiving the Mikeldi of Honour at the 51st Zinebi Festival in recognition of her career and her contribution to the development of contemporary cinema. After a long prolific career, (which she still continues with right now with enviable vitality) in starring roles in films by Buñuel, Antonioni, Truffaut, Malle or Fassbinder, her visit to our city will be accompanied in the programme by a retrospective, that she herself has selected, of some of her latest and less well-known performances and a documentary on her work as a whole: Le Temps qui reste (François Ozon, France, 2005), Château en Suède (Josée Dayan, Belgium, 2008), Plus tard tu comprendras (Amos Gitai, France/Germany/Israel, 2008) and Jeanne M.-Côté cour, côté coeur (Pierre-André Boutanh/Annie Chevallay/Josée Dayan, France 2008).
