Mikrozinebi
As in previous years, with the aim of bringing the Festival closer to pedestrians and passers-by in Bilbao, MIKROZINEBI has been given an attractive new design, as an inflatable marquee will be set up in the square by the Arriaga Theatre with a modular structure that creates dynamic spaces that evolve and adapt perfectly to fit into the surroundings that have been selected for. The inside of the marquee will be used as a small film theatre where a selection of the Basque and Spanish films in competition and news programmes will be screened. It will also be used as an information point and an exhibition space, where we will also be able to enjoy the installation called Photochrome, a technique that is extensively used in video, television, cinema and photography work which allows visitors to be photographed against a plain, uniform background that by means of a computer process can be replaced by another pre-selected one, so that the person being portrayed fits perfectly into this background, which may be, for example, the backdrop of a scene from their favourite film.
