SINOPSIS
Soft Fiction consists of fifty-four minutes of film that weave together five narratives by women that are visually constructed as testimony in the first person. The stories in Soft Fiction are intensely private and personal. However, by arranging them in compositions including avant-garde film, documentary, ethnographic cinema and soft pornography, as Paula Rabinowitz mentions in her
Ethnographies of Women: Soft Fiction and Feminist Theory, Strand wants us to start to question the way that female pleasures are represented and experienced in a patriarchal culture.
