SINOPSIS

Composed of scraps of film salvaged from a closed-down Beirut cinema, Beirut Outtakes is a collage of sensational visions. Mixing Western scenes with a variety of cinema advertisements meant for a Lebanese audience, Ahwesh develops a montage with comical sharpness. This short and seemingly simple film creates an upside-down view of Middle East stereotypes offers a glimpse of Middle East fantasies of the West.
